Vintage Tamegroute Planter/Pot

Our range of Tamegroute pottery is designed to be cherished. These rustic green Tamegroute planters are a beautiful way to enhance any part of your home and can be mixed and matched across the collection.

Handmade in the village of Tamegroute in southern Morocco, a place renowned for its distinctive green pottery, each pot is carefully shaped by hand by skilled artisans, using clay sourced from the nearby Draa river. A secret formula of natural minerals is then applied to create the beautiful and unique green glaze that has made Tamegroute ceramics so recognisable.

Tamegroute pottery is traditionally fired in ancient clay ovens, heated using wood collected by the artisans from the local forest ensuring a fully sustainable process. The exact placement of each piece within the kiln affects the final colour and finish. Because of this centuries-old process, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. The subtle variations, textures and imperfections are part of the beauty of Tamegroute pottery, giving every pot its own unique rustic character.
