Handmade in the village of Tamegroute in southern Morocco, a place renowned for its distinctive green pottery, each bowl is carefully shaped by hand by skilled artisans, using clay sourced from the nearby Draa river. A secret formula of natural minerals is applied in a distinctive splatter design over the raw clay surface, creating a striking contrast between the natural earthen tones and the vibrant glaze.

Tamegroute pottery is traditionally fired in ancient clay ovens, heated using wood collected by the artisans from the local forest ensuring a fully sustainable process. The exact placement of each piece within the kiln affects the final colour and finish. Because of this centuries-old process, no two pieces are ever exactly the same. The subtle variations, textures and imperfections are part of the beauty of Tamegroute pottery, giving every bowl its own unique rustic character.
