Our sustainability promise
We are deeply committed to ensuring sustainability in every aspect of our business. To achieve this, we've adopted key practices that underscore our unwavering dedication to environmental and social responsibility:
Reducing Air Transport: We consciously limit air transport for our products by prioritising road transportation, minimising carbon emissions and reducing our ecological footprint.
Thorough Provenance Checks: Our meticulous verification of material sources ensures high standards of sustainability and ethical production, instilling trust in our customers.
End-to-End Eco-Consciousness: From production to delivery, we maintain unwavering eco-awareness, prioritising sustainable materials and minimising environmental impact.
Zero Tolerance for Child Labour: We strictly prohibit child labour, aligning with our ethical and responsible business practices.
Sustainability is our foundation. We are committed to reducing our
environmental impact, ensuring ethical sourcing, and maintaining social responsibility across our operations.
Materials and Provenance – Sustainable by Nature
We believe that beautiful, high-quality homewares should not come at the expense of the planet. The natural and sustainable nature of our product ranges means they cannot be mass-produced, inherently promoting a slow, circular way of buying. We source quality pieces that are made with love and designed to last.
We ensure our products are made with natural and sustainable materials wherever possible, with very little recourse to chemical dyes.
Our mouth-blown glassware collection is crafted from recycled bottles in the heart of Marrakesh, with no artificial dyes or chemicals used in the recycling process.
Sourced from Tamegroute in the south, Marrakesh, and Tafza in the High Atlas Mountains, our collections of pottery are made entirely from locally sourced clay gathered from riverbeds and wood-fired in natural ovens. The process involving shaping, drying, firing and glazing takes around 2-4 weeks per piece.
Our collection of Berber rugs are hand woven from 100% wool or cotton, predominantly using the natural colour of the sheep’s wool. Many of these pieces are handcrafted by female cooperatives or woven in women's homes. We celebrate the slow nature of these products, with each rug taking around four to five weeks to produce.
Ethical Sourcing & Social Responsibility
We are dedicated to working directly with our artisans, many of whom craft their goods in small villages outside of Marrakesh and Tamegroute in the southern Moroccan desert. By partnering closely with them, we ensure fair wages, safe working conditions, and the preservation of traditional skills.
Moroccan White aims to support artisans who have great skill and passion for their work. Every order placed with us directly benefits them, helping sustain their craft and communities.

Plastic-Free & Responsible Packaging
We are committed to reducing plastic waste by using eco-friendly packaging.
We reuse 75% of the packing materials our products arrive in after reaching us by road. When sending orders to our customers, we are proud to say our recycled glassware packaging is now 100% plastic-free. We use a combination of recycled cardboard and biodegradable packing peanuts to minimise our footprint while ensuring the safety of our items.
We continuously assess our packaging and use 75% plastic-free packaging for all other items, striking the balance between minimising damages and reducing plastic in our warehouse.
By choosing Moroccan White, you are supporting a brand that values craftsmanship, ethical production, and environmental responsibility. Together, we can create a more sustainable future, one thoughtfully made piece at a time.
